Malayali woman Shamja Mujeeb honoured by UAE President on Flag Day

Abu Dhabi: Shamja Mujeeb Mohammed, a native of Chavakkad in Kerala’s Thrissur district, was honoured by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the country’s Flag Day celebrations at Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi.

A Fujairah resident, Shamja was among 55 distinguished individuals chosen as special guests to receive personal recognition from the President. She was selected for her service to the country and the courage she demonstrated during times of crisis.

The 55 honourees, drawn from various fields, were recognised for their courage and exemplary service, with the number representing the UAE’s 55th anniversary.

Shamja works at Fujairah Terminals, which operates under Abu Dhabi Ports. She is the wife of Mujeeb Anjoor, a native of Kunnamkulam who previously worked as a journalist in the UAE.
