New Delhi: The Indian government has announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a historic visit to Kuwait on December 21-22. This marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, the government emphasized the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.
"India and Kuwait share traditionally close and friendly relations which are rooted in history and have been underpinned by economic and strong people-to-people linkages. India is among the top trading partners of Kuwait," the statement read.
During the visit, Prime Minister Modi is expected to engage in high-level discussions with Kuwaiti leadership, focusing on enhancing cooperation in key sectors. Additionally, he will interact with members of the Indian diaspora in Kuwait, which forms a significant part of the country's expatriate population.
