No Man's Sky Omega Expedition gets limited-time free access

Surrey: Hello Games, the developer behind the action-adventure survival game No Man's Sky, has introduced the Omega Expedition update along with a rare opportunity for players to access the game for free during a limited period.

In a surprising move, Hello Games is offering a temporary free trial of No Man's Sky, which commenced on February 15 at 11:30 PM and will conclude on February 19 at 11:30 PM.

Interested players are encouraged to download the game before the trial period expires.

The free trial is accessible on various platforms, including PlayStation, Steam, Microsoft Xbox, Mac, and Nintendo Switch.

However, the official website clarifies that while players can participate in the Omega expedition without purchasing the game, accessing the full story will require a subsequent purchase.

The Omega update transforms co-op expeditions into an integral part of the main game, departing from the previous approach of treating it as a separate mode. It introduces new content, such as on-planet missions tailored to the locale, climate, and personality of alien lifeforms. Players can now claim pirate freighters, and existing players have the option to continue from their saved games.

No Man's Sky, originally launched in 2016, is renowned for its vast open-world exploration featuring over 18 quintillion planets, each with distinctive flora and fauna.

As part of a "Special Promotion" valid until February 26, the game is available for purchase on Steam for Rs 1,200.
