Zelensky tells Grammys to fill 'deadly silence' with music

Las Vegas: Wowing peace lovers across the world, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appeared on screen at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards here.
In his video message, Ukraine's president likened Russia's invasion of Ukraine to a deadly silence threatening to put out dreams and lives of the Ukrainian people, including children.
The recorded message heard him saying that his musicians wore body armour instead of tuxedos. The President said in English that they sing to the wounded in hospitals and hoped the music would break through anyway.
Zelensky urged musicians to fill the silence with their music and tell the story of Ukraine. Asking for support every way possible, he told the audience to tell the truth about the war on their social networks and TV.
Filing the silence with music could bring peace to Ukrainian cities, he said.
After Zelensky disappeared from the screen, musician John Legend crooned his song " Free" with Ukrainian musicians including Siuzanna Iglidan and Mika Newton, and poet Lyuba Yakimchuk. Lending a backdrop to the song, images from the warfront emerged on the screen behind them.
Cut to the warfront in Ukraine, reports Sunday said that Ukrainian soldiers entered the town Bucha held by Russian soldiers recently. They reportedly found bodies of people shot dead, with some of them were seen bound and tortured; Ukrainian authorities accused the Russians of war crimes.
