World will soon see challenges more severe than COVID-19: David Attenborough
text_fieldsLondon: Far more severe problems than Covid pandemic is awaiting to hit the world in the next five to ten years, warns the legendary conservationist and broadcaster David Attenborough.
"The epidemic has shown us how crucial it is to find agreement among nations if we are to solve such worldwide problems. But the problems that await us within the next 5-10 years are even greater," Attenborough said ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) due to be held next November in Glasgow.
This warning is after he got appointed to urge world leaders to consider the climate issues with utmost importance. "It is crucial that these meetings in Glasgow, COP26, have success, and that at last, the nations will come together to solve the crippling problems that the world now faces," he added.
Alok Sharma, the cabinet-level minister in the British government, will be the president of the upcoming Climate Change Conference.
David Attenbour is best known for the natural history documentary series on BBC and is the brother of renowned British director Richard Attenborough.
