Gaza City: At least six Palestinians, including two children and a journalist, were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, according to information from local sources and health authorities. Among the dead was a cameraman working for the media network Al Jazeera.

The Israeli military described the slain cameraman as a Hamas operative. The allegation was rejected by his relatives and colleagues, who disputed Israel’s claim and defended his role as a journalist.

One of the deadliest strikes occurred around 2 a.m. when missiles hit an apartment building in Gaza City. Two sisters, four-year-old Seena and 14-year-old Lana, were among those killed in the strike. Their bodies were transferred to Shifa Hospital. The attack also left several people injured, adding to the growing civilian toll from ongoing military operations in the enclave.

Health officials indicated that the death toll could rise further as rescue workers continue searching through the collapsed structure for additional victims. Efforts to locate survivors and recover bodies remained underway hours after the strike.
