New Delhi: UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is facing bickering in his party which may have contributed to his predecessors quitting their jobs in the past.

The latest one is about Rishi Sunak supporting one of his ministers, who is accused of bullying his colleague via text message, saying that the messages were sent "in the heat of the moment", according to reports.

Just days ago Sunak faced criticism for reappointing Suella Braverman as interior minister after she was fired by former Prime Minister Liz Truss, for breaching email security rules.

Braverman was reappointed, according to Conservative Party insiders, as a reward for supporting Sunak's candidature for prime minister after Liz Truss quit.

The text of the message in question sent by Gavin Williamson to the former chief whip Wendy Morton contained expletive-ridden language, which the Sunday Times published.

Since taking over as third prime minister in two months, Sunak is being criticized from within his party after his appointing of Braverman as interior minister.

Braverman has been criticised over her comment that Britain is under 'invasion' of people traveling in small boat across the English Channel.

In the thick of the roiling political crisis, Angela Rayer, deputy leader of the Labour Party questioned Rishi Sunak's pledge to restore integrity, professionalism and accountability.

Angela Rayner said far from stopping the rot in the Downing Street, Rishi Sunak was letting it fester.
