Trump need not be incarcerated for hush money: Stormy Daniels
cancel

In the hush money case against ex-US president Donald Trump, the porn Stormy Daniels, who is involved in the matter, said that she does not think he should go to jail, Reuters reported.

The case is that during his campaign towards the 2016 presidential elections in the US, Trump paid pornstar Daniels hush money so that she would not go in public about an affair they had around a decade before. Trump had denied the allegations outright.

Daniels said that she didn't think that Trump's crimes against her were worthy of incarceration. She feels like the other things he has done, if he is found guilty, he should be. The 44-year-old started talking to Fox Nation's Piers Morgan.

On Tuesday, Trump was charged in New York with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records over allegations he orchestrated hush-money payments to Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal. This was before the 2016 elections and was done to suppress the publication of their alleged sexual encounters with him.

Further, in Washington, Trump is facing criminal investigations in connection with attempts to overturn his 2020 election loss and mishandling classified documents, along with a separate probe in Georgia about his attempt to overturn his defeat there.

The charges against Trump in New York, levelled by prosecutors in Manhattan, include an attempt to conceal a violation of election laws during 2016 poll campaigns, which led to his victory.

While the next hearing on the case is posted to December 4, and legal experts state that the indictment or even conviction would disqualify Trump from running for president, Daniel says if the case goes to trial, she wanted to testify since she has nothing to hide and she is the only one who has been telling the truth.
