Tehran: Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has warned the United States and Israel against launching another round of military action, while directing the country’s top military commanders to prepare for an immediate and far-reaching response to any fresh threat, according to reports.

In a written statement published on his official website on Saturday, Khamenei said Iran’s armed forces and people would decide when and under what conditions any renewed conflict would end. He also instructed commanders to revise the country’s target list to cover all physical and non-physical assets associated with the US and Israel.

The warning was issued during a reported meeting with senior military officials, including Chief of Staff Ali Abdollahi, Army Chief Amir Hatami and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Ahmad Vahidi. It was reportedly the first meeting between Khamenei and the military leadership since he assumed the position of supreme leader.

Khamenei has not appeared in public since succeeding his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in US-Israeli strikes at the beginning of the West Asia war in February.

The conflict erupted on February 28 with American and Israeli attacks on Iran, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes against targets across the region.

The latest warning comes amid renewed diplomatic efforts to prevent another escalation. A Qatari delegation arrived in Tehran on Friday (October 30) to hold discussions with Iranian officials, reportedly after receiving a letter from US Vice President J.D. Vance.

Iranian media reported that Tehran had not yet responded to the communication.
