Washington: As President Donald Trump continues to claim voter fraud, his supporters in their thousands turned out in Washington DC to back him hours ago.

BBC reports that demonstrators were joined by members of far-right groups like Proud Boys.

Some of them were wearing helmets and bullet-proof vests. "Earlier supporters swarmed Mr Trump's motorcade as he drove past on his way to his golf course" BBC reported

Trump is still sticking to his guns, alleging voter fraud in the US election, which saw Joe Biden continuing to solidify majority since winning.

The projected win in Georgia will make him the first Democratic candidate to take the state since 1992, the report says.

An embattled Trump is not in a mood to concede and chose to launch legal challenges in key states, alleging electoral fraud.

Earlier, election officials refuting Trump's claim called the election 'the most secure in American history'.
