Protests in Kabul calling Pakistan to leave Afghanistan

New Delhi: Hundreds of Afghans held a demonstration in front of Pakistan's embassy in Kabul against Pakistan's alleged involvement in the airstrikes in Panjshir province. The demonstrators raised slogans like 'death to Pakistan'.
According to a report by Afghan-based news outlet TOLO news, men and women gathered in front of Pakistan's embassy and called out Pakistan's alleged meddling in Afghan governance.
The protest grew, drawing hundreds of Kabul residents chanting "Freedom, Freedom" "death to Pakistan" and asked for the Pakistani embassy to leave Afghanistan.
"Freedom", "Allah Akbar", "we do not want captivity" were among the slogans chanted by the protesters. "Pakistan, Pakistan, Leave Afghanistan," a slogan on a sign read.
The Taliban fighters reportedly conducted aerial firing to disperse the protesters but they were still protesting and fewer people were dispersed.
The report by TOLO news also says that the Taliban forces prevented some journalists from filming today's protest, detained TOLO news cameraperson Wahid Ahmadi and confiscated his camera.
Quoting Khamma news, IANS reports that the people gathered after co-leader of the resistance front in Panjshir province Ahmad Masoud in a voice clip called on the people of Afghanistan to resurrect against the Taliban.
In the meantime, people in Balkh and Daikundi provinces too took to the streets and chanted slogans against Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Iran has reacted to the airstrikes in Panjshir province and the spokesperson of the country's Foreign Ministry has asked for investigations over what he called the interference of foreign jets.
