Pak cop becomes millionaire suddenly, but bank blocks his ATM

New Delhi:A police officer in Pakistan is still reeling from the shock of receiving rupees 100 million his bank account.
Aamir Gopang, an investigative sleuth based in Karachi, became millionaire overnight after a huge amount of money came in to his account from an "unknown source".
"I was shocked because let alone having seen so much money, I have never had more than a few thousand rupees in my account," Gopang was quoted by news agency PTI.
Gopang claimed to have known about the money only when he was called about it by the bank.
He was barred by the bank from accessing his bank account to withdraw the money. His account was frozen and his ATM card was blocked, he is a millionaire all the same.
An investigation has been launched to find out the source of the huge sum in the cop's account.
This is not the first time a cop receives shocking amount of money in his account.
Earlier four cops including three from Pakistan's Larkana and one from Sukkur received 50 million rupees each in their accounts, as per a report by PTI news agency.
It is not yet known if the money was deposited in the accounts of unsuspecting people to evade tax sleuths.
