Tucker Carlson claims Saudi Arabia and Qatar arrested Mossad agents plotting bombings
text_fieldsUS political commentator Tucker Carlson claimed that Saudi Arabia and Qatar had arrested Israeli Mossad agents planning bombings in those countries, but did not provide evidence for the assertion.
Speaking on his show on Monday, Carlson questioned why Israel would carry out attacks in Gulf nations that are also facing Iranian strikes.
He alleged that Israel seeks to hurt not only Iran but also Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait, and claimed that Israel deliberately sows chaos among America’s Arab allies.
Carlson’s remarks come amid ongoing US and Israeli strikes on Iran following a joint assault that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, other senior officials, and civilians. Iran has retaliated by targeting US bases in the region and shutting down key oil trade routes.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had targeted more than 500 US and Israeli sites using drones and missiles. On Monday, a drone attack caused a limited fire at Saudi Arabia’s Aramco oil refinery in Ras Tanura.
Separately, an Iranian military official claimed the Aramco strike was an Israeli false flag operation aimed at distracting regional countries from attacks on civilian sites in Iran.
Rising tensions have disrupted energy markets, with reports of refinery closures, halted liquefied natural gas production, and insurers withdrawing war risk coverage for ships in the Persian Gulf.
