Not retiring from acting, Just having a holiday: Andrew Garfield
text_fieldsAndrew Garfield recently surprised his fans by saying he will be taking a break from acting. However, the speculations on social media soon spiralled into assumptions about him quitting acting altogether.
A day after the previous announcement, Garfield clarified that he is not quitting or retiring from acting. He is only taking a break for a month or two. The 38-year-old was promoting his latest project, an FX TV series Under the Banner of Heaven.
The actor took the opportunity to joke and have fun at first. He told the host of The View, Joy Behar that he is "officially retired".
He added that he has enough money to live in a camper van for the rest of his life. The Spide-Man actor quickly stated he is just having a holiday. "I don't know where that came from. I think people just make a story out of nothing".
Garfield first mentioned the holiday during his interview with Variety. He said that he has been working nonstop for a year for films including The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Spider-Man: No Way Home, tick... tick... BOOM!, and Under the Banner of Heaven.
"I am just going to rest for a little bit. I need to recalibrate and reconsider what I want to do next and who I want to be and just be a bit of a person for a while," said the actor.
