New York: Millionaire Bryan Johnson revealed that one litre of his plasma donated to his father reduced his father’s age by 25 years.
The 45-year-old himself, who made fortune in software, is on a quest for reversing his biological age.
After receiving the plasma, Johnson claimed, his 71-year-old father is aging at the rate of a 46-year-old.
‘My father's (70 yo) speed of aging slowed by the equivalent of 25 years after receiving 1 liter of my plasma, and has remained at that level even six months after the therapy. What does that mean? The older we get, the faster we age. After receiving 1 L of my plasma, my father is now aging at the rate of a 46-year-old. Previously, he was aging at the rate of a 71-year-old. I am my dad's blood boy,’ he reportedly wrote on X.
He linked his father’s slowed aging to 600 milliliters plasma that was removed from his ‘super blood’.
Earlier Bloomberg News reported Bryan Johnson as spending $ 2 million a year on an ambitious ‘Project Blueprint’ to reserve aging.
A team of doctors have devised for him a rigorous regime of eating, sleeping and exercise to see if their efforts could slow down or rather reverse aging process.
Johnson claimed that he has achieve the lung capacity and physical endurance of an 18-year-old, adding he has a heart of a 37-year-old, and skin of a 28-year-old.
