Musk supports the idea of taking away voting rights from people without children

New York: Billionaire Elon Musk sparked a debate on Twitter after endorsing the idea of taking away voting right from people who chose not to have children.
The Tesla boss, known to be an advocate for begetting more children to tackle ‘ underpoulation crisis’, was responding to tweets by a user known by Datahazard.
Musk agreed to the user’s comment that ‘democracy is probably unworkable long term without limiting suffrage to parents.’
Musk previously made similar point when he said ‘The childless have little stake in the future.’
The father of nine children last year warned on Twitter that ‘A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far.’
Participating an All-in Summit online in 2022 he said that some people think that having fewer children will help the environment, which he termed as nonsense adding that environment will be fine even if the global population doubles in size.
‘At least maintain our numbers. We don't necessarily need to grow dramatically, but least let's not gradually dwindle away until civilization ends with all of us in adult diapers, in a whimper,’ he was quoted as saying.
Pointing at the dwindling birthrate in Japan he said that Japan could cease to exist, because the country’s population declined by 600,000 people in 2021.
Making a case for more children, he said that it is ‘essential for maintaining civilization’.
Musk earlier said that he heard people saying 'How can I bring a child into this terrible world'’, and added that his question to them was whether they read history and it was way worse back then.
