Man breaks into US military base to warn about aliens, gets arrested
text_fieldsClaiming to have information from the president about extra-terrestrial creatures, a 29-year-old US man broke into a Space Force Base using a stolen truck. Fox35 reported that the man identified as Corey Johnson from Florida was arrested soon after the break-in. Days before heading to Patrick Space Force Base in Brevard County, Florida, he had allegedly stolen a 2013 Ford F150.
He drove to the military base and, upon gaining entry, told officials he was on an urgent mission for US President Joe Biden to warn officials about aliens fighting Chinese dragons, NDTV reported.
On Friday, Johnson was arrested and booked into the Brevard County Jail. He has been slapped with grand theft of a motor vehicle charge. His bond was set at $3,000, according to local media outlet CBS42.
Space Launch Delta 45 that operates and maintains Eastern Range missile and rocket launches is housed at Patrick Space Force Base and is located at a distance of 28 kilometres from the Kennedy Space Center.
When news of Johnson's arrest broke online, internet users joked about an alien-dragon fight over who would win the battle. "Ok, but who won? Certainly, the weaponry of dragons is fairly well-established, unless they're like the ones in How To Train Your Dragon, with aliens being the wildcard (probably) possessing a pretty large technical advantage," wrote one user.
"But won't we all be surprised when the Dragon v Alien fight shows up here on earth," wrote another. A third jokingly said, "If there is one thing we learned from movies is: listen to that guy !!!!" "Ok but hear him out."
Meanwhile, according to Indy100, in a similar incident last year in Florida, a man stole a police car before freeing and stealing another police car. He had faced charges related to grand theft of a motor vehicle.
