Tokyo, Japan: Intentionally acclaimed Kabuki actor was found collapsed at his home in Tokyo alongside both of his parents who were confirmed dead, reports said on Thursday.

Ennosuke Ichikawa, 47, who has performed in London, Amsterdam and at the Paris Opera House, was found by his agent lying unconscious inside a closet, news agency AFP reported, citing local media.

His father, 76, also a Kabuki actor, and mother, 75, were also found unconscious and who were later pronounced dead, according to the report.

Starting investigation into the incident, Police have found a suicide note believed to have been written by Ennosuke Ichikawa.

A Tokyo police spokesman who confirmed the death of elderly parents of the actor however did not provide further information.

Ichikawa , who was found sitting inside a closet ‘drifting in and out of consciousness’, is out of danger.

Debuting as a Kabuki actor in 1980, Ichikawa has become Japan’s greatest performers in the traditional theatre, and went onto appear in television shows and films.
