In the West Bank, Palestine holds the Israeli government accountable for settlement practices
text_fieldsAccording to Palestine, the Israeli government was "fully and directly" responsible for the Jewish settlers' practices on the West Bank and warned against its resulting difficulties on the possibility of starting a real peace process.
Israeli settlers had uprooted dozens of olive trees in a number of West Bank cities during the past few days, according to a statement from the Palestinian Foreign Ministry, which reported that Palestinian vehicles were set ablaze in East Jerusalem.
"The settlers' violations against defenseless civilians, their land, property, and trees throughout the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, are taking place without any punishment or deterrent," states the Ministry.
"The Israeli settlers' practices are a direct reflection of the Israeli government's policy and decisions regarding the Palestinian cause," it added.
