Global powers move to avert India-Pak conflict; US, China, Saudi step in

New Delhi: Global powers are making quick moves to avert the India-Pakistan conflict. The United States, China, and Saudi Arabia are stepping in to de-escalate the situation. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has offered to mediate between India and Pakistan to initiate discussions, according to a U.S. State Department spokesperson. Rubio has held talks with Pakistan's military chief, General Asim Munir, and also with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar.

China has called for both nations to pursue peace and stability, urging them to move forward with discussions. China stressed that avoiding attacks and finding a peaceful political solution is in the best interest of both countries.

The international community also desires a peaceful resolution to the issue. China has pledged to mediate to resolve the matter peacefully. Saudi Arabia has also initiated efforts to ease tensions, with the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister visiting India and Pakistan to facilitate talks.
