Minnesota: Protest rallies with thousands of people were held in various parts of the country ahead of the start of the trial in the case of George Floyd, a man of African descent, murdered by a police officer. Protesters are demanding that the police take responsibility for the murder of George Floyd. The trial of the former Minneapolis police officer in the case begins tomorrow.

Protesters had gathered in front of the Minnesota governor's residence. According to media reports, many of those present were relatives of victims of police brutality in various circumstances.
