GCC leaders sign the Al-Ula Communique

Riyadh: The 41st Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit is underway in Al-Ula in Saudi Arabia.

The leaders and representatives of Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman attend the summit which is hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The leaders and heads of the delegations of the Cooperation Council for the Gulf Arab states signed the Al Ula Communique, the final statement.

In his speech, King Salman pointed out that the final Al Ula Communique has been achieved with cooperation of GCC countries. He stressed that the communique focused on the Gulf, Arabic-Islamic, solidarity and stability and also in strengthening the relations of brotherhood between the nations.

He also remembered the two great leaders who played a major role in supporting joint Gulf action, the late Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said and late Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
