Riyadh: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called for ending ‘war crimes against Palestine’.

Both the leaders discussed the war in the region in their first talk over phone since they resumed ties following a China-brokered deal, according to Reuters.

Saudi state news agency SPA reported crown price as affirming that ‘the Kingdom is making all possible efforts in communicating with all international and regional parties to stop the ongoing escalation.’

Mohammed bin Salman stressed about Saudi Arabia's rejection of targeting civilians, according to the report.

Meanwhile, more distressing reports and images from the warzone indicate increasing human casualties and suffering.

Following Hamas attack on Israel that killed 1,200 people, Israel has been pounding Gaza Strip.

People in the region are going without water, food and electricity, according to reports.

Meanwhile United Nations said that more than 338,000 people in the enclave have been displaced.
