London: A Britain-based charity, Oxfam, reported that the conflict-driven death toll in Gaza exceeds by massive margins when compared with any other conflicts that happened in the 21st century, Al Jazeera reported.

The killings in the holy soil are of a scale so unprecedented in recent history, Oxfam stated. Meanwhile, Israel has not yet stopped its armed campaign in Gaza, and it has been three months since the war started.

Oxfam said that apart from armed killings, Gazans are at high risk of hunger, diseases and cold.

Oxfam said in a statement that the Israeli military is killing an average of 250 people a day, which is massively higher than the daily death tolls of any other major conflicts of recent years. The charity listed the average death per day for other conflicts across the globe for comparison. It is 96.5 in Syria, 51.6 in Sudan, 50.8 in Iraq, 43.9 in Ukraine, 23.8 in Afghanistan, and 15.8 in Yemen.

Oxfam further stated that what deteriorates the already worse crisis is Israel’s restriction on entry of aid into Gaza. Only 10 per cent of the weekly food requirement for the people is entering the war-marred land. The situation worsens the serious risk of starvation.

Human Rights Watch (HRW), a rights group based in the US, also stated on Thursday that Gazans have been targeted, attacked, abused and killed since last year at an unprecedented scale in the recent history of Israel and Palestine.

Since October, when the war started, 23,469 Palestinians have been killed, and 59,604 have been injured, the Gazan health ministry informed.

In the last 22 hours, the Israeli military committed ten mass killings in Gaza, killing 112 deaths and 194 injuries, the ministry said and added that around 7000 people are missing under the rubble.
