British media lashes out at Netflix show on Prince Harry

London: The British media hit back on the new Netflix series on the estranged prince of the Royal family, Prince Harry, and his wife accusing them of insulting Queen Elizabeth II, Agence France-Presse reported.
On Friday, the media here lashed out at the OTT series "Harry and Meghan", which the royal family wasn't touched on in its first three episodes. It only focused on the prince's early life and his resentment towards the media. He blames the media for the death of his mother, Diana.
AFP writes that Harry had accused his family of unconscious racial bias, and it is expected that more revelations will happen in the next week's episode. Friday's headlines here were largely critical of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex -- Harry and Meghan's formal titles.
Tabloid the Sun called him "Harry the Nasty", writing that the couple had "trashed the Queen's legacy", AFP quoted. They left Harry's father, King Charles III, and his brother Prince William, leaving both in sadness as well as tarnishing the whole country by accusing them of racism.
Further, the Sun accused Meghan of mocking Queen Elizabeth II with a melodramatic courtesy during their first meeting.
Inside Daily Mail, a commentator took issue with the Harry-Meghan couple's claim that Brexit fanned racism in the UK. The commentators said that the claim was "the most insulting distortion." Brexit was what caused the couple's split from the royal family.
The newspaper had run four pages denying the couple's claims calling them "fantasies and lies". The Netflix show "cynically doctored" several media interviews, AFP reported, citing Daily Mail.
