All I want for Christmas is..mummy and daddy: 8-year-old girl appeal to Santa Claus

New Delhi: Children fall over themselves to adore Santa Claus that makes Christmas hearteningly beautiful.

Few children might have trusted Santa Claus like an eight-year-old UK girl who wrote a letter to Santa seeking a favour.

She was not seeking any gift for herself like most children long for.

The letter, currently doing round on Twitter, shared by a woman named Nicole Connell, is innocent and poignant at once.

Connell's niece wrote to Santa Claus for some money for her parents as they are struggling with bills and mortgages.

"To Santa, all I want for Christmas is some money for Mummy and Daddy. They struggle with bills and mortgages. I even feel sad. Please, please Santa can you make it work? I know it's a lot though I'm sorry. Love Emmie," reads the little girl's letter.

Connell also said that the letter made her cry a lot and she thought someone so young is even thinking about this (parents' money problem).

Many reacted touchingly to the letter on Twitter with one user saying that kids always see life in the most simple of ways.

Another user said children should not be having to worry about their parents' finances.
