" Fearless" Ukrainian woman confronts Russian soldiers

Kyiv: Ukrainian forces are putting up tough fight against the invading Russian forces.

In the rain of bombs and the ensuing casualties, their hardships go largely unnoticed.

But one woman who stood up to the Russian soldiers in a Ukrainian street stole the limelight today.

Social media users across the world have hailed her as "fearless" after she daringly questioned heavily -armed Russian soldier.s

In a viral video, the woman is seen asking the soldier "Who are you?" reports said.

The soldiers respond, "We have exercises here. Please go this way."

The woman in the port city of Henichesk wouldn't allow the Russian soldiers to have their own way without answering her.

When she got to know they were Russian soldiers, she blurted out expletives.

The soldiers toting heavy machine guns tried to calm her and said, "Our discussion will lead to nothing."

With no fear the women went on calling them fascists and occupants.

"Take these seeds and put them in your pockets, so at least sunflowers will grow when you all lie down here," she said. Sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine.

Social media users profusely praised her guts to question the Russian soldiers.

One user marveled at her courage, saying "What a courageous woman, standing up to tyranny like that"

Another user said getting her to speak to Ukrainian troops could pep them up ready to defend the nation.

The Russian forces have now barged into areas outside Kyiv, leaving 137 dead after invasion began 24 hours ago.
