WhatsApp users may soon be able to send pics in original quality on Desktop beta
text_fieldsSan Francisco: The messaging app WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is apparently developing a new feature that will enable users to exchange photographs in their original quality on desktop beta.
According to WABetaInfo, users won't have to be concerned about their photographs losing quality or resolution while being sent thanks to the new feature.
When the feature is made available to beta testers, users will still be able to share photographs using the conventional compression technique, which is advantageous for individuals looking to reduce their storage requirements.
The ability to send photos in their original quality is currently under development and is expected to be released in a future update of the desktop application, the report said.
Last month, it was reported that the messaging platform was working on this feature for Android beta.
The feature will provide users more control over the quality of photos they send, especially when sending the photo in its original quality is necessary.
In December last year, WhatsApp was reportedly working on a new feature which will provide users with the ability to report status updates on desktop beta.
