San Francisco: In a move against cyber bullying and harassment, Chinese short-video making app TikTok has rolled out a new update,on Thursday, which allows creators to delete up to 100 harassing comments at once

Earlier, a user had to select and delete nasty comments one by one when reporting, deleting, or blocking. The new anti-harassment tool will help creators to delete and report remarks or block accounts in bulk.

ByteDance-owned TikTok said the feature is rolling out to "select markets" first and then globally in the "coming weeks."

TikTok in March announced two new in-app features to fight bullying and harassment.

The first feature gives creators more control over the comments on their videos, and the second prompts people to reconsider posting unkind or inappropriate comments.

Earlier this month, Axios had reported that Tiktok is working on a pilot programme that is designed to help people find jobs on TikTok and connect with companies looking to find candidate

Citing sources, the report suggested it is also meant to help brands use TikTok as a recruitment channel.

According to the report, the company is currently testing the service with a beta group of companies. Several big brands have been asked about participating, including sports leagues.

The platform will be a separate web page accessible via the TikTok app where brands can post jobs, primarily entry-level listings, the report said.

Users can post a TikTok video resume to the site rather than a traditional resume. The idea is for users to give an elevator pitch or work experience summary via the video in a unique way, it added.

TikTok will ask candidates to post their resume videos to their TikTok profiles, if they wish, to help publicise the new service.

According to the report a Washington Post article about Gen Z using TikTok to share career advice, posted by a top TikTok executive on LinkedIn inspired TikTok researchers to try to bolster their platform for job seekers.
