Swedish music streaming app Spotify is preparing a new feature to allow users to post audio comments to music playlists. There are also simple editing options to add background music and tags.

The interface read "So, what do you think? Record an episode to share your thoughts on the playlist." Below the notification, there is a record button to start using the feature.

A report on The Verge said the new reaction feature seems to be accessible via a microphone icon on the playlist's page. "We are currently running a limited test of in-app audio creation, but have no further details to share at this time," said Spotify.

The company is also experimenting with letting users record and post podcasts directly from the app. Last week, a new home screen design was launched to include feeds for both Music and Podcasts and Shows.

The update is currently available on Androids but will be soon available on iOS. This will allow users to have quick and better access to suggestions based on their music taste. Spotify claims that this will make discovering new favourites easier. Podcast listeners will have quick access to new episodes.

Buttons to share, like, and play music instantly are also in the picture.
