SpaceX is all set to launch Falcon 9 rocket flight into space on Friday (Jan. 22), Space News reported. The two-stage veteran rocket is to launch a stack of small satellites and is expected to take off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The space ferry is known as Transporter-1 and has scheduled to fly 48 Earth-observing SuperDove satellites for Planet Labs and a nanosatellite called Charlie for Aurora Insight.

48 SuperDoves is anticipated to improve imaging sharpness of the entire Earth and new spectral bands for analysis and monitoring changes. Aurora Insight plans to establish a constellation of 12 satellites to provide global coverage through Charlie.

SpaceX had launched 60 of its Starlink satellites on Wednesday (Jan 20), bringing the total launched so far to about 1,000 satellites as part of its project to deliver Internet to all Earthlings. Starlink, the satellite network, is focused to provide low-cost internet to remote locations.

Space Exploration Technologies Corp. is an aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company that puts satellites into orbit and delivers cargo to the International Space Station (ISS). Headquartered in California, it was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk and is currently developing powerful rockets and spacecraft capable of carrying people into space.
