No one can join Tesla, even as a contractor: Musk tells executives
text_fieldsNew York: Elon Musk has sent a mail to executives at Tesla Inc directing them not to hire anybody without his personal approval, Reuters reported.
Tesla Inc CEO made it clear that the company cannot make any hiring including contractors.
Musk in the mail, reportedly seen by the news agency, asked from executives a list of hiring requests on a weekly basis.
The direction for weekly list came with a cautioning for them to ‘think carefully’ before submitting it.
‘No one can join Tesla, even as a contractor, until you receive my email approval’, Musk reportedly said in the email on Monday.
The decision comes after the company last month posted its lowest quarterly gross margin in two years, according to the report.
Meanwhile, Tesla cut prices in markets including US and China to ‘spur demand and fend off competition’, according to the report.
Only days ago, Musk has appointed Linda Yaccarino to helm the social media platform, Twitter.
Musk said on Friday that Yaccariono taking over the charge of Twitter would allow him to devote more time to Tesla.
Musk is likely to address Tesla shareholders on Tuesday at the company’s annual meeting in Austin, Texas.
