New Delhi: iPhone fans waiting to buy the brand's 2022 models will burn a bigger hole in their pockets.

The late model is not going to be as cheap as the iPhone 13 series, according to India Today.

If you are planning to buy iPhone 14, you will have to spend $100 more than the previous iPhone 13 series, an analyst suggest.

Analyst Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities asks people to brace themselves for the hike.

Because, the production and component cost is rising for all consumer electronics makers.

Apple might pass on expense to the customers by raising the price of the iPhone 14 series.

Part of the brand's high price in India, compared to US pricing, comes from high import duty, GST and other factors.

In this be the case, it is more likely that you have to shell out Rs 10,000 more for iPhone 14 than was spent on last year's series.

As the iPhone 13 is now sold in India at Rs 79,990, the price of the iPhone 14 could touch Rs 90,000.

This could be just a guess, because the analyst also suggests that Apple might stick to older price range.

The decision might help the brand sell more pieces in India, considering the fact that iPhones are pretty pricey for most Indians.
