San Fransico: Google has announced new features for Google Assistant with a special feature for Apple users to locate a lost iPhone using the digital assistant, MacRumors reported.

According to the report, iPhone will get a similar system that Google Assistant offers android users that triggers a sound for their smartphone if it gets lost. This is also like Apple's own Find My System feature.

The feature reportedly enables users to have a Google Assistant-enabled smart speaker with Google Home app support to find a misplaced iOS device. The alert could be triggered by asking, "Hey Google, find my phone", using Google smart home devices. The Google app will send an iOS critical alert to the misplaced iPhone, the report says.

Apple enables its apps the ability to utilise critical alerts. These alerts are special notifications that could smash through Do Not Disturb or silent mode, ensuring that they reach the user. These apps with critical alerts require special approval from Apple, and MacRumors says that Google already acquired that.

More features are coming to Google Assistant like "Assistant Routines", making it easy for users to perform multiple actions in a single command. A Duplex update that makes ordering takeout and delivery easier with partner restaurants is also announced.
