New York: Twitter founder Jack Dorsey has quit Mark Zuckerberg’s Instagram after 12 years of joining the platform.

Dorsey announced his decision on X, formerly Twitter, where he previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer.

‘Deleted my instagram account after 12 years. was one of the first 10 accounts I believe, and one of the first angel investors,’Dorsey posted on X on August 18.

When a user asked whether he was still using a Facebook account, he said he had no presence on any Meta platforms.

‘No. Or WhatsApp clear eyes, meta free, can't lose,’ he was quoted as saying.

Billionaire Elon Musk responded to Dorsey’s decision with fire emoji in the comment section.

However, users were still curious about whether he would continue stay on Musk’s X.

Dorsey previously in 2020 stated that he was not using Facebook products, adding that he had a ‘ different approaches’ to Zuckerberg.

When Meta launched Threads, Dorsey took to Twitter posting screenshot showing Zuckerberg’s follow request to him and wrote in the caption ‘ Too soon b’.

Alongside he criticised Meta’s Threads saying ‘ We wanted flying cars, instead we got 7 Twitter clones’, pointing at media networks that looks similar to Twitter.
