Tamil Nadu results: The BJP state president K Annamalai is falling insecurely behind his DMK rival Ganapathy Rajkumar by 23,215 votes as the latest updates show.

Ganapathy Rajkumar has so far gained 1,08,081 votes tying up Annamalai to 80,520 votes making it largely difficult for the BJP chief to win.

Meanwhile, AIADMK’s Singai Ramachandran found himself in third place with 43,832 votes.

Annamalai’s efforts including statewide yatra seem to have made little impact on the electoral front in the state.

This is his maiden election to become a lawmaker which seems to be heading towards failure considering counting updates as of now.
