Wimbledon: Top seed Novak Djokovic will play against ninth seed Cameron Norrie in the semi-finals of the Wimbledon men's singles on Friday at 7.15 pm IST in the Centre Count at the All England Tennis and Croquet Club.

Djokovic, a six-time champion made a brilliant comeback against Jannik Sinner in his quarter-final tie after dropping the first two sets. Djokovic won the game 5-7. 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2. Similarly, Norrie also made it to the semi-finals after defeating David Goffin in a five-set thriller.

Norrie can become the second British men's player to reach the Wimbledon final in the Open Era, after former champion Andy Murray. The winner will face Nick Kyrgios, who has a walkover against two-time champion Rafael Nadal, who pulled out of the match due to injury.

Rafael Nadal withdraws from Wimbledon following injury

22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal announced his decision to withdraw from Wimbledon on Thursday, a day before he was due to play in the semifinals because of a torn stomach muscle.

"Unfortunately, as you can imagine, if I am here, it's because I have to pull out from the tournament," Nadal said during a news conference at the All England Club.

He was scheduled to face Nick Kyrgios in the semi-final on Friday. Kyrgios advanced to his first final at a major tournament. He will face either Novak Djokovic or Cam Norrie for the championship on Sunday.

Nadal has been bothered by a stomach muscle for about a week, and the pain became unbearable in the first set of his 4-hour 21-minute fifth-set tiebreaker win over Taylor Fritz in Wednesday's quarterfinals.

Nadal said after that match that he had considered quitting. He took a medical timeout to take pain pills and his father and sister motioned for him to retire from the stands.
