Lisbon: Portuguese football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo's Bugatti Veyron met with a major accident on Monday, 21 June in Spain. Reports confirmed that the car was driven by the employee, and not the football star.

The driver has not suffered any injuries so far. The super-car with 900 horsepower is worth 2.1 million USD.

According to reports, the driver lost control over the vehicle that crashed into a wall at the residential estate of Sa Coma, Bunyola, Palma de Majorca. Ronaldo is currently spending a holiday with his family at a luxury home in Majorca.

The front side of the car was severely damaged. No other casualties are so far reported. The driver of the car is also believed to have signed the accident report, said Latin times.

The police are currently investigating the reasons for the sudden accident.

Earlier, US District Judge Jennifer Dorsey had cancelled the case submitted by Kathryn Mayorga of Nevada who claimed that she was allegedly assaulted by the football star in 2009.

Although Ronaldo had paid $375,000 as compensation, the victim demanded more payment considering her emotional trauma.
