In the final game, India failed to put pressure on the Australian defence.
After Harmanpreet converted a well-executed penalty corner in the 24th minute, Australia earned two consecutive penalty corners but India reserve goalkeeper Krishan Bahadur Pathak made a good save to deny Jeremy Hayward. Soon, Kookaburras restored their two-goal advantage seconds from half-time when Aran Zalewski scored from close range.
In the final minute, India secured a penalty corner which Harmanpreet did not waste. But, it was too late for a win as there was no time for an equaliser.
