Argentine football legend Lionel Messi summed up his G.O.A.T India Tour in a one-minute social media video that featured Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, along with her sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, delighting fans across the country.
Kareena and her children attended a high-profile meet-and-greet with Messi during his India visit, a special moment given Taimur’s well-known love for football and his dream of becoming a footballer like Messi.
Sharing highlights from his tour, Messi wrote on Instagram, where he has over 510 million followers, “Namaste India! What incredible visits to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. Thanks for the warm welcome, great hospitality, and all the expressions of love throughout my tour. I hope football has a bright future in India!”
The video captures Messi’s interactions across cities — meeting Indian football icon Sunil Chhetri and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, engaging with young players, and calling on political leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad.
Kareena had earlier spoken about Taimur’s passion for football and his admiration for Messi. On the day of the event, she shared a picture on Instagram showing herself holding her sons’ hands as they stepped out, both boys dressed in white football jerseys with the number 10. Taimur’s jersey read “Messi,” while Jeh’s said “Argentina.”
Taimur and Jeh are often spotted playing football, sometimes joined by their father, actor Saif Ali Khan.
