Football is more than just a game. It is an emotion. During the FIFA World Cup, things become even more thrilling. The FIFA World Cup 2022 final between Argentina and France, the reigning champions, is now the centre of attention. The game will begin tonight at 8:30.

Fans are incredibly eager to see the highly anticipated matchup. A Lionel Messi supporter from Lakshadweep has placed a cut of the football player in the Arabian Sea in the middle of this. Kavaratti Islands native Mohammed Swadikh also posted a video to Instagram.

In the video, Mr Swadikh can be seen standing next to Lionel Messi's cut while surrounded by friends who are all wearing Argentina jerseys. A short while later, we see a person swimming over coral reefs to the location of the cut-out while wearing scuba diving gear. Fans have also posed with the cutout underwater.

The cut-out of Lionel Messi was reportedly installed 100 feet under the water, according to Khaleej Times.

Speaking to the New Indian Express, Mr Swadikh said, "After Argentina trounced Croatia in the semi-final, I organised a biriyani feast for my friends at mid-sea. It was at that time I announced the decision to install a cut-out in the sea."

Since this will be Lionel Messi's final game for his nation, Argentina vs. France final is a memorable game for all Messi supporters. After his team advanced to the final, the 35-year-old allegedly declared that the match on December 18 would be his last. "I feel very happy to be able to achieve this, to finish my World Cup journey by playing my last game in a final," Messi reportedly told Argentine media outlet Diario Deportivo Ole.
