T20 WC: Rashid, Banton power England to 5-wicket win over Scotland

Opting to bowl first, England relied on Rashid’s bowling to restrict Scotland to 152 all out. Pacer Jofra Archer and left-arm spinner Liam Dawson added two wickets each. Scotland’s captain Richie Berrington top-scored with a 32-ball 49, while opener Michael Jones contributed 33.
Chasing 153, England lost both openers, Phil Salt and Jos Buttler, inside two overs. Jacob Bethell (32 off 28 balls) and Banton (63 not out off 41 balls) then put together a 66-run partnership for the third wicket, stabilising the chase. Sam Curran added a 20-ball 28-run cameo, and Will Jacks remained unbeaten on 16 off 10 balls as England reached the target with 10 balls to spare.
