Several cricket legends from Pakistan, including Wasim Akram and Javed Miandad, have praised Indian stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for their impeccable timing in retiring from T20 Internationals following India's recent T20 World Cup triumph.

India clinched their second T20 world title with a thrilling seven-run victory over South Africa in the final held in Barbados.

Zaheer Abbas, a renowned former batsman, expressed his admiration for Rohit Sharma's batting and his delight at Sharma's role in securing the World Cup for India. He acknowledged Kohli's well-established greatness and impressive records.

Javed Miandad, another of Pakistan's greatest batsmen, commended Kohli and Sharma for retiring at the perfect moment. He noted that although they would continue to play in Test and One-Day Internationals, it was fitting for them to exit T20Is on a high note. Miandad highlighted their discipline, professionalism, and fitness as exemplary for aspiring cricketers.

Legendary fast bowler Waqar Younis praised both Kohli and Sharma for consistently performing under pressure and winning matches for India. He also lauded Jasprit Bumrah's outstanding bowling throughout the World Cup, calling him a match-winner.

Rashid Latif attributed India's recent success and their appearances in three ICC event finals over the past year to effective team management and strong player support from Rahul Dravid and his coaching staff.

Shahid Afridi recognized Rohit Sharma's exceptional leadership and Virat Kohli's prowess as a big-match performer. He supported their decision to retire from T20Is on a high note after leading India to World Cup glory.

Former Test batter and coach Mohsin Hasan Khan praised Kohli and Sharma for setting a great example for younger players. He emphasized the importance of retiring in glory and noted that India has the talent pool to fill the void left by their retirements. He was particularly impressed by Sharma's leadership and his five T20I centuries, which have placed him in a league of his own.
