Sports: After ten consecutive wins, India had bought a disastrous and painful loss from Australia in the final of the World Cup ODI this month. Indian fans, who were awake with hope after the 2011 historic victory, and two losses later under the legendary captain MS Dhoni, will require more time to recover from the pain this time.

After smashing down all the other opponents in the tournament, the affair was heartbreaking. Australia, led by pacer Pat Cummins, made a win of six wickets to lift the crown.

Now, Cummins stated that picking Virat Kohli’s wicket would be his ‘deathbed moment’. In an interview with The Age, he responded to questions.

Columnist and author Peter FitzSimons asked Cummins what moment from the WC final the latter would be thinking on his deathbed in some 70 years' time. Cummins said that it would be Virat Kohli’s wicket.

In the match, India was sent to bat and they were pretty much in control at the stage of 148/3. It was Kohli and KL Rahul in the crease then, but things turned after Kohli's inside-edged Cummins delivery to the stumps. India started losing grip there and the scoring pace decreased, while the wickets also fell.

Cummins told The Age that when Kohli fell, the stadium fell silent as it was filled with 100,000 Indians. I'll savour that moment for a long time," Cummins said.

Australia also had a problematic start after it lost three wickets when the score was just 47. But Travis Head, who scored 137, exhibited sensible cricketing which led to Australia rescue.
