Netflix recently dropped the trailer of 'Thar', a Hindi film set in the Rajasthan desert. Starring Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Satish Kaushik, the movie is a murder-mystery thriller with a rugged mood.

Director Raj Singh Chaudhury said that the rough conditions of the desert made shooting difficult. He spoke about the logistical difficulties that terrain brought along and said "it was a tough shoot in terms of terrain".

"The major difficulties were shooting at some places, especially carrying the equipment to set up a shot," said the filmmaker.

He added that the team found a beautiful 800-year-old structure, on top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere. The production team was of the mind that shooting there was impossible and had to be convinced. "The production was amazing, and they created a road for an easy commute," said Chaudhury.

He spoke of the challenges faced by the actors and said Satish Kaushik climbed mountains. "Anil (Kapoor) sir was riding a bike on terrains which are very, very tough to ride on a Yezdi bike," added the director. Speaking of the leading lady, he mentioned that Fatima fell out of a moving jeep once which scared the crew. "But she just brushed it off and got back into the jeep."

The film is set to release on the OTT platform on May 6.
