New York: Israel's war game in northern Gaza's Jabalia alone in the past 48 hours killed more than 50 children, and the UNICEF, the United Nations' children's organization, condemned "indiscriminate strikes on the Gaza Strip", reports Al Jazeera.

It is learned that Israeli forces dropped a stun grenade on a polio vaccination centre in Gaza City, which resulted in injuring four children, WHO said. The attack is breaching an agreement to a humanitarian pause for a long-delayed vaccination campaign.

Meanwhile, in Lebanon, Prime Minister Najib Mikati demanded an investigation of the abduction of a citizen in the north of the country. According to the Israeli military, naval forces captured a senior member of Hezbollah in Lebanon's Batroun.

On Friday, Israel unleashed waves of deadly strikes on regions in Gaza and Lebanon, leading to the death of at least 45 people in both countries. Israel claimed that the bloodbath in Gaza was targeted strikes on Hamas infrastructure and a militant operating area of the central Nuseirat refugee camp. In Lebanon, its attack was a part of stepping up its offensive against Hezbollah.

Meanwhile, the US has decided to deliver more military assets to Israel, including ballistic missile defence destroyers and long-range B-52 bomber aircraft. Agence France-Presse reported that the move is a part of the US's bid to warn Iran against escalations as the latter and Israel are trading strikes in a tit-for-tat mode.

Since October 7 last year, Israel has killed at least 43,314 and wounded 102,019 Palestinians after the war broke out, triggered by a lightning attack by Hamas into Israeli territory. Around 1,139 people have been killed in Israel since the war started, while more than 200 Israelis have been taken hostage by Hamas.

Israel killed at least 2,698 and wounded 13,319 people in Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
