New Delhi: The centre on Tuesday revised an earlier order that required mutual agreement of states for sending and receiving migrants in Shramik trains.
As per the new order the trains do not need consent of states where train carrying migrants terminate.
The new standard operating procedure said that Shramik trains will be permited by railway ministry in consultation with ministry of home affairs.
The new SOP was issued in the wake of differences between the Centre and some states over the running of these trains.
This is against the guidelines issued in early May requiring consent of states receiving migrants.
