Border crisis: Karnataka moves SC against Kerala HC order

New Delhi:  Just as the border blockade continues at the cost of lives, Karnataka challenged a Kerala High Court order for removing the blockade.

The special leave petition filed by Karnataka said that the border blockade was in place to ‘ combat the spread of pandemic by preventing the movement of people from the bordering districts of Kerala to karnataka”.

Karnataka argued that opening the road would lead to law and order issue in the state as local population wanted the blockade.

The petition also said Kerala is the “worst affected” State in the country, and and  Kasaragod, adjoining Karnataka, is the “worst -affected” district .
