AMU RDA denies BJP MLAs allegations
text_fieldsAligarh: In a press statement, Resident Doctors Association of Aligarh Muslim University has refuted allegations made by BJP MLA Dalveer Singh and District Magistrate Chandra Bhushan Sing against its medical department, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) becoming a hub of Covid 19 infection.
“Such statements will demoralise the doctors who are working day and night to fight the virus. We have been demanding PPEs but what we get are irresponsible remarks. We are in touch with RDAs across the country and if such statements are repeated, we will be forced to go on a strike,” said Dr. Hamza Malik, president JNMCH RDA.
The letter state that the doctors at the medical college are well equipped with Personal Protection Kits and the lab at the hospital has conducted almost 5000 tests.
Speaking on charges against its health workers, the RDA has stated that “80 of our health workers attending Covid patients have tested negative, whereas five patients, who came in contact of positive cases, including a resident doctor have also tested negative.”
Continuing with its endeavours for the deadly pandemic, JNMC has also started helplines to amplify the help towards those suffering due to the ongoing countrywide lockdown, the statement said.
