Sambhal (Uttar Pradesh): Eight persons, including two children, were killed and ten others injured in a road accident here.
The accident took place near Lahrawan village of Bahjoi area when a speeding container truck collided with a pickup vehicle on Tuesday night.
Seven people died on spot while one succumbed to the injuries in a hospital.
Some of the injured were said to be in critical condition.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the accident and directed officials to provide proper medical care to the injured.
